Welcome to the melting plant - the event location in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg! Discover a place with a history, because where the legendary Sarotti chocolate manufacturer has done its well-known cocoa specialties more than 150 years ago, our melting plant is now located: a modern event location for up to 199 people with a historical background and stylish interior. The smelting plant is therefore the ideal location for weddings, events of all kinds, conferences and receptions.

How to get there:

The Mehringdamm, Gneisenaustrasse and Platz der Luftbrücke underground stations and six bus lines can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Also (almost) on the doorstep and a three-minute drive away: the city motorway and the Berlin-Tempelhof event airport. You can also quickly reach the new main train station through the Tiergarten tunnel: just 10 minutes away by car.

...by public transport MEHRINGDAMM underground station U6 from the city center, S+U Friedrichstrasse, Tegel and Platz der Luftbrücke, S Tempelhof, Mariendorf U7 from the S Neukölln, Rudow and S Yorckstrasse, Charlottenburg, Spandau Metro bus M19 from the Kurfürstendamm, Grunewald Bus 140 from the U Kottbusser Tor, S Ostbahnhof 

 

...by car A100 exit Tempelhofer Damm/Potsdamer Platz in the direction of the city. After Tempelhof Airport, Tempelhofer Damm turns into Mehringdamm. We are on the right-hand side after 500 meters.

Carlos A. Diaz is General Manager and a Member of the Board of GlobalNews Group, with more than 400 employees, offices in 11 Latin American Countries and in the US and more than 3000 clients, including 100 Fortune 500 companies, GlobalNews is the main Media Monitoring, Measurement, Evaluation and Insights company in Latin America. 

Carlos has over 10 years of experience in information gathering, measurement and evaluation services. He has helped acquire and develop the methodologies, tools and skills necessary to extract meaningful information from huge amounts of structured & unstructured data at GlobalNews group.  

​He has a background in IT entrepreneurship, having founded three different startups related to the media and information sectors (the last one resulting in a successful acqui-hire by GlobalNews Group) since the age of 18. 

​

Carlos is a self-professed gamer, who programs in his free time for his personal pet-projects (currently really into Open Source Home Automation), plays Rugby in the Buenos Aires Rugby Union, and is an avid skier.

Rob Carr is Senior Product Manager and Product Team Lead at MediaHQ, where he’s been driving product innovation for the past nine years. 

With a career spanning over two decades, Rob has worked across a wide range of digital products since 2003, combining deep technical insight with a strong focus on user needs. He’s passionate about building tools that empower communications professionals and is currently leading product development across MediaHQ’s core features.

In his spare time Rob loves anything to do with bikes. If he's not actually cycling there’s a good chance he’s thinking about it.
